Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated 2026-08-01

Article 1 (Scope)

This Policy applies to day tours sold by Lecirt through its website. Bookings made through third-party platforms (Klook, KKday, GetYourGuide, Trip.com, VELTRA, etc.) are governed by that platform's cancellation policy.

Article 2 (How to Cancel)

1. Cancel through My Bookings on the Site or by email to Lecirt.korea@gmail.com.

2. Cancellation by phone alone is not accepted.

3. The cancellation time is the date and time your request arrives at the Company's system or email server, in Korea Standard Time (KST) — not the time the Company reads it.

4. Cancellation requests received outside customer service hours (weekdays 09:00‒19:00 KST) or on weekends and public holidays are processed based on their arrival time; a reply will follow on the next business day.

5. The Company sends a cancellation confirmation email once processed.

Article 3 (Reference Time)

All periods are calculated from the Departure Time stated in the Booking Confirmation, in Korea Standard Time (KST, UTC+9).

Example: Departure Time March 10 at 08:00 → a cancellation request arriving before March 9 at 08:00 receives a 100% refund.

Article 4 (Cancellation by the Traveler)

Details

1. Partial cancellation: Where only some participants cancel, the above applies to the cancelled participants.

2. No car seat brought: Where boarding is refused under Article 8(3) of the Terms of Service because a car seat was not brought, the cancellation falls within 24 hours of the Departure Time and is not refunded. The Company states the car seat requirement for children under 6 on each product page in advance.

3. DMZ passport details missing or incorrect: Where accurate passport details are not confirmed by 3 days before departure (D-3) and clearance cannot be obtained, the Company cancels the booking and refunds the tour fee in full. No further compensation is payable.

Cancellation request received (KST)Cancellation feeRefund
More than 24 hours before Departure TimeNone100% of the tour fee
Within 24 hours of Departure Time100%No refund (0%)
No-show100%No refund (0%)

Article 5 (Cancellation by the Company) — ① Minimum group size not met

The minimum group size is 3 participants, unless a different number is stated on the product page.

Whether the minimum group size is met is determined 24 hours before the Departure Time. If the number of participants falls below that level thereafter due to cancellations or no-shows, the tour operates as scheduled.

Before cancelling, the Company may first offer an alternative departure date or a comparable product.

Notice givenOutcome
More than 24 hours before Departure Time100% refund. No additional compensation
Within 24 hours of Departure Time100% refund plus compensation equal to 10% of the tour fee

Article 5 — ② Severe weather and force majeure

When a tour is cancelled — the Company may cancel operations where:

The Korea Meteorological Administration issues a warning (not an advisory) for heavy rain, heavy snow, typhoon, strong wind, or extreme cold affecting the destination or route

Authorities close roads, sea routes, or tourist facilities

Natural disaster, major accident, or government measures related to infectious disease make the tour objectively impossible

The Company otherwise determines that operating the tour is not feasible in order to ensure traveler safety

Ordinary rain, snow, or overcast conditions are not grounds for cancellation, and tours operate as scheduled. If you cancel for this reason, Article 4 applies.

Outcome — where the Company cancels for the above reasons, 100% of the tour fee is refunded with no cancellation fee, and no further compensation is payable (Standard Terms for Domestic Travel, Art. 13(2)). You may choose:

1. Full refund

2. Change of departure date (same product, within 6 months, subject to availability, no change fee)

3. Modified itinerary

If a tour is cut short — where a tour already underway is terminated due to force majeure, the refund is the tour fee less the value of services already provided and costs already incurred (admissions, meals, vehicle operation). The Company will provide the basis for any deduction on request.

Article 5 — ③ Special provisions for DMZ and military area tours

1. DMZ and military area tours operate subject to clearance by the competent authorities and may be cancelled even on the day of departure for the following reasons:

Military exercises, changes in conditions near the Military Demarcation Line, inter-Korean circumstances

Livestock disease control measures

Withdrawal of visit clearance or access restrictions imposed by the authorities

2. Where a tour is cancelled for the above reasons, 100% of the tour fee is refunded. As these circumstances are beyond the Company's control, no further compensation is payable.

3. Clearance may be denied for reasons relating to an individual traveler. In such cases the Company refunds the tour fee in full and no further compensation is payable. Clearance decisions and the reasons for them are determined by the competent authorities; the Company has no involvement in them and cannot provide an explanation.

Article 5 — ④ Other cancellations attributable to the Company

Where a tour is cancelled due to vehicle breakdown, unavailability of a guide, or similar causes attributable to the Company: 100% refund plus compensation equal to 10% of the tour fee.

Article 6 (No-Show)

Definition

A booking is treated as a no-show where all of the following apply:

1. No cancellation notice was given in advance;

2. The traveler did not arrive at the meeting point by the Departure Time stated in the Booking Confirmation; and

3. The Company or guide attempted to reach the traveler on the phone number and messenger account registered at booking without success.

Waiting and departure

1. The guide will attempt to contact any traveler who has not boarded by the Departure Time.

2. To protect the schedule of other travelers, the vehicle departs after waiting a maximum of 10 minutes past the Departure Time.

3. A meeting area may have several pickup points. Please confirm the exact pickup point stated in your Booking Confirmation in advance. Waiting at the wrong point and missing the vehicle is treated as a no-show.

4. Once the vehicle has departed, joining the tour later is not possible. If you travel to a subsequent stop at your own expense, the Company does not cover those costs.

Outcome

SituationOutcome
No-showNo refund (0%)
Late, but contacted the Company before departure, was given a joining point, and joined at own expenseNo refund; tour proceeds normally
Traveler leaves the tour partway for reasons attributable to the travelerNo refund

Article 7 (Refund Processing)

1. The Company processes a cancellation within 3 business days of confirming the request and, in doing so, submits the refund to the payment gateways (Korea PortOne Co., Ltd. and Eximbay) at the same time. A cancellation with a refund is complete once the payment gateway has accepted the refund request.

2. The time until the refund appears depends on your payment method:

International credit card (including UnionPay): 5‒15 business days, depending on your issuer, as refunds route through overseas payment networks

Digital wallet (Alipay, WeChat Pay): 3‒7 business days

3. Refunds are issued only to the original payment method. Refunds to a different method or to a third party's account are not possible.

4. Exchange rate notice: For payments made in a foreign currency, the amount refunded in your home currency may differ from the amount charged, due to exchange rate movement between the payment and refund dates and foreign transaction fees applied by your card issuer. This is determined by your issuer and cannot be adjusted by the Company.

5. Where a refund is made by bank transfer, remittance and intermediary bank fees are borne by the customer.

Article 8 (Statutory Right of Withdrawal)

1. Under Article 17 of Korea's Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, you may withdraw your offer within 7 days of booking confirmation.

2. However, because tours are provided on a specific date to a specific group, Article 4 takes precedence where fewer than 7 days remain until departure at the time of booking, or where the tour has already begun.

3. Where the service provided differs materially from its description, you may seek withdrawal or compensation within 3 months of the tour date.

Article 9 (Bookings with Coupons or Promotions)

1. Cancellation fees and refunds are calculated on the amount actually paid.

2. Used coupons are not restored on cancellation, except where the cancellation is attributable to the Company.

Article 10 (Disputes)

Cancellation and refund disputes are handled in accordance with the Korean Consumer Dispute Resolution Standards. If consultation fails, mediation may be sought from the Consumer Dispute Settlement Commission of the Korea Consumer Agency.
